Acceptance of terms
By accessing BreachOfPrivacy.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
Informational use only — not legal advice
All content on this site — including decision summaries, legislation overviews, AI-generated summaries, and editorial commentary — is published for general informational purposes only.
Nothing on this site constitutes legal advice, creates a solicitor-client relationship, or should be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a qualified legal professional. Always verify information against official source documents.
Accounts and registration
Some features require an account. When you register you agree to provide accurate information, to keep your password and authenticator credentials confidential, and to be responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or are used for abuse.
Enterprise organizations. An account holder may create an organization and configure single sign-on for their Microsoft Entra tenant. The organization owner is responsible for who they grant access to. Enterprise tier and seat allocations are confirmed and managed by us; an organization starts on the Basic plan until an enterprise agreement is in place. We may adjust an organization's seat limit and plan in accordance with that agreement.
AI-generated content
Summaries marked as AI-generated are produced by automated language models. They may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. They do not represent the opinion of the issuing body, the parties, or any legal authority.
Every AI summary links to the official source document. You should consult that document — not the summary — for any purpose that requires accuracy.
Source attribution
Decisions and legislation summaries are derived from official public sources, including the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and Justice Laws. Summaries are our own editorial work, not reproductions of official text.
Official government documents are Crown copyright. We do not claim copyright over source material; editorial summaries are original works of this site.
Accuracy and currency
We aim to keep information current, but we make no guarantee that any law, regulation, or decision summary reflects the most recent state of the law. Statutes are amended, decisions are appealed, and regulatory guidance evolves. Verify against official sources before acting on anything you read here.
Permitted use
You may browse, link to, and share individual pages for personal, educational, or journalistic purposes. You may not:
- Systematically scrape or index the site without permission
- Reproduce substantial portions of editorial content without attribution
- Use the site or its content in a way that misrepresents its source
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to administrative areas
No warranties
This site is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the site operator is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of or reliance on this site or its content.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the applicable province. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
